On the look out for Halloween makeup for girls?
My Little Lady LOVES Halloween & this year she’s insisting on the whole spooky shebang. This includes stick on eyelashes and elaborate witches face paint. With my drawing skills! That is scary.
To be honest, I kind of resist Halloween a bit – it’s become so over commercialised, plus it’s essentially about weird, scary stuff! But I also think it gives kids a chance to be creative and act out some of their witchy woo fears. For one night only they get to do the scaring. Plus, of course it’s also good old traditional fun.
But…if like me, you don’t want to spend a fortune or indeed 2 light years on Amazon or Pinterest looking for the perfect Halloween makeup look (I’ve already done that and seriously, you’ve got better things to do!), I’ve shared some affordable Halloween makeup ideas for girls below.
Hopefully, they’ll help get your daughter howling (sorry) with delight.
I did actually look into how to make your own Halloween face paints in an attempt to be completely ‘au natural’. However, I came to the conclusion my daughter would spend all night with thick patches of multicoloured cornflour on her face. Would you have appreciated that at 6? Me neither.
So instead, I’ve aimed to pick out makeup that is as natural as possible.
