Welcome to One Mum & A Little Lady – the home for mums (and dads, or anyone!) who are passionate about parenting and natural living.
Do You Dream of a Happier & Healthier Family Life?
Being a parent is joyous, but it’s also hard, especially as a brand new mum.
Do you sometimes feel that there are so many demands on your attention, it’s a challenge to keep everything in balance?
In fact, it’s easy to lose touch with our natural parenting instincts completely in today’s fast paced society; a society which often puts more focus on creating a life full of ‘achievements’ and ‘stuff’ over a balanced, healthy and child centred one.
So my mission with this blog is to help you stay in touch with your natural parenting instincts and create a healthier, more conscious life for you and your family through:
- Simple (but powerful) parenting tips, which offer a more peaceful, natural & effective approach to parenting.
- Eco friendly and non toxic baby and kids products, which are safer and healthier for your child.
- Hands on activities & kids crafts to help you stay connected and foster creativity.
- Healthy living tips, including recipes, DIY natural remedy, personal care and beauty tutorials.

My Journey: From Overwhelm To Oh Yeah!
Hello! My name is Sarah and I run this blog. I became a mum to a wonderful & headstrong Little Lady (Alice) at 40 and it turned my life upside down (for the better I hasten to add!).
To that point I’d had a successful career in media (and also consumed too much beer & crisps and worried way too much about what I was wearing!).
Then one day something game changing happened at work and I walked out.
It was a decision which would change my life for the better in so many ways.
Soon after, I decided to ditch the traditional 9 to 5, get off the never-ending (and very expensive) childcare treadmill and stop defining myself by a ‘career’ I didn’t even like anymore. Then I set the intention to work from home doing something I was passionate about.
I quickly learned all I could about blogging, affiliate marketing and side hustles, so I could earn a living from home and started making lifestyle changes towards a healthier home, including making my own natural care products., eating seasonally as much as I could and scaling back from all the stuff I really didn’t need.
Fast forward nearly two years and I’m earning a living online doing something I really enjoy.
Life is healthier and much more in balance and I’ve got more space to be the parent I want to be. Well, mostly anyway! Cruella De Ville still makes the odd appearance, but always gets puts in her place by my Little Lady. Who is incidentally much wiser & smarter than I am 🙂
Has it been easy? Nope! But I’d do it all again in a jiffy.
One Mum and a Little Lady Was Born
What I noticed on my journey, was that I wasn’t alone in wanting a more balanced life.
I was actually just one of a huge wave of parents fed up with the modern pressures on their work/family/life balance, who too were seeking to create a more conscious, healthy and balanced family life.
Does this sound like you?
If it does, One Mum & A Little Lady was created for you.
